Wall Art
Vertical Thuluth Calligraphy — Acrylic Islamic Wall Art
A single column of Arabic calligraphy, drawn in a flowing Thuluth hand and cut as one continuous piece. One long shaft runs almost the full height of the panel, and the letters loop across it, pass behind it and sweep back — a broad curve over the top, a deep rounded bowl to one side, a blade tapering to a fine point on the other. The lower third settles into the vocative yā, the shaft dropping into a rounded bowl with its two diamond dots beneath it. It is a piece you read upward, from the dots to the crown.
The proportions suit a wall that most art will not fit: the strip beside a doorway, the return of a hallway, the panel between two windows, the corner of a majlis. It is tall — about 67 cm at the 20 cm width, and about 100 cm at 30 cm — so measure your drop before ordering. Gloss piano black reads as a clean silhouette against pale plaster. Mirror gold warms under lamplight and sits well with brass and oak. Mirror chrome silver stays cooler and sharper, and suits glass, marble and matte grey.
