Tree of Life Wall Clock — Laser-Cut Acrylic, Made in Dubai

A single tree drawn inside a circle. The trunk rises from the base, and the branches fan out and fold back on themselves at the rim, every leaf cut individually so the wall behind shows through the gaps. The clock face sits at the centre, where the trunk opens into the branches, kept small enough that the hands read as part of the cut work rather than something added to it.

Because the piece stands off the wall, the branchwork casts a soft second outline behind it, and that shadow shifts as the light moves through the day. In mirror gold or mirror chrome the cut work picks up the colour of the room around it; in gloss piano black it reads as a clean silhouette.

• Cut on a CO2 laser in our own Dubai workshop from 3mm cast acrylic
• Quartz movement set into the centre of the trunk; a battery is required to run the clock
• Three finishes: gloss piano black, mirror gold and mirror chrome silver

• Float-mounted, so the clock stands off the wall rather than sitting flat against it
