Surah Al-Ikhlas Thuluth Calligraphy — Acrylic Islamic Wall Art
Surah Al-Ikhlas, the 112th chapter of the Qur'an, is set here in classical Thuluth. The opening word Qul is drawn far larger than everything around it: its lam rises the full height of the piece and its bowl sweeps underneath, cradling the verses. The rest of the surah runs in two dense lines to the left, vowel marks and all, so the text keeps the rhythm a calligrapher would have given it on paper. The whole thing is cut as one connected silhouette rather than loose letters, which holds the thin strokes steady.
The piece is roughly half as tall as it is wide, so it sits comfortably above a console, a sideboard or the long sofa in a majlis. Widths run 60, 80, 100 and 120 cm; at the widest it stands about 81 cm tall. Gloss piano black reads as a clean silhouette against a pale wall and keeps the calligraphy legible from across the room. Mirror gold warms under lamplight and sits well with brass and marble. Mirror chrome silver is cooler and quieter, and suits grey or stone-coloured walls.
