Shahada Roundel — Acrylic Islamic Wall Art

The Shahada — lā ilāha illā Allāh, Muhammadun rasūl Allāh — drawn as a single circular composition in Thuluth. The declaration reads around and through itself: the alifs of the first clause rise as a vertical palisade across the upper half, while Muhammadun rasūl Allāh sweeps beneath them on one long curved baseline that closes the circle. Vowel marks and tooth strokes fill the gaps between the uprights, so the roundel holds as one dense disc of line rather than two stacked phrases. It is cut as a single piece, with the counters and the open ground between strokes left as bare wall.

A roundel suits a wall with no strong horizontal to answer — above a console in an entrance hall, centred over a majlis seating group, or on a landing where a rectangle would fight the line of the stair. At 50 cm it reads as a quiet marker beside a door; at 100 cm it becomes the one thing on the wall. Gloss piano black keeps the strokes graphic and absorbs the light around them. Mirror gold warms under a downlight and picks up the colour of the room. Mirror chrome silver stays cooler and throws back the wall behind, so the circle shifts as you cross the room.

  • Material: 3mm cast acrylic, cut on the CO2 laser in our own Dubai workshop.
  • Finishes: gloss piano black, mirror gold, or mirror chrome silver.
  • Sizes: stated by width across the roundel; height scales in proportion (the 100 cm piece stands about 102 cm tall).
  • Mounting: float-mounted — it sits off the wall rather than flat against it.
  • Made in the UAE: drawn, cut and finished in our Dubai workshop.
  • Gifting: a steady choice for a new home, a wedding or a housewarming — the Shahada is the one text every Muslim household shares.
