Mirrored Kufic Calligraphy Panel — Acrylic Islamic Wall Art

A tall mirrored calligraphic panel, drawn as a hanging pendant: a pointed finial at the crown, four elongated letter shafts rising on either side of an arabesque spine, and a floriated base that opens into two leafy wings. The composition is symmetrical — the same calligraphy reflected about its centre line, in the manner of muthanna or mirror writing — so the letterforms read as pattern and as script at once. The shafts are cut with the wedge serifs of floriated Kufic, and the open fretwork between them lets the wall colour show through the piece.

Because it is narrow and tall, it suits the places a wide piece cannot go: a hallway between two doors, the strip of wall beside a majlis entrance, a stair landing, the space above a slim console. At 60 cm wide it stands about 115 cm tall, so check your drop before choosing a size. Gloss piano black reads as a solid silhouette and keeps its edges against a pale wall. Mirror gold warms the fretwork and catches lamplight through the cut-outs. Mirror chrome silver stays cooler and quieter, and sits well with grey or stone.
