Calligraphic Horse — Arabic Zoomorphic Acrylic Wall Art

A horse in profile, mane and neck drawn entirely from Arabic letterforms.

The mane resolves into strokes and the strokes resolve back into the mane, depending how long you look at it. A zoomorphic piece in the old tradition, where the script is the subject rather than a caption to it.

Cut on the CO2 laser in our own Dubai workshop from 3 mm cast acrylic, then float-mounted so the piece stands a little off the wall and casts its own shadow. In gloss piano black it reads graphic and still; in mirror gold or mirror silver it picks up whatever light the room is holding.

• Material: 3 mm cast acrylic, laser-cut and finished in our Dubai workshop
• Finishes: gloss piano black, mirror gold or mirror silver
• Sizes: the size shown is the width; height scales in proportion
• Mounting: float-mounted so the piece sits proud of the wall
• Made in the UAE: designed and cut in our own workshop in Dubai
