Bismillah Tughra — Acrylic Islamic Wall Art

The Bismillah drawn as a tughra — the sweeping monogram form the Ottoman chancery used for a sultan's seal, turned here to بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم. Three tall alifs rise from the baseline like standards, two nested loops close the composition on the left, and a single long stroke runs out to the right to finish the line. The script is Thuluth throughout, cut as one continuous piece so every stroke stays joined the way the reed pen drew it, with the counters left open so the wall colour shows through the letterforms.

Bismillah is what you say before beginning, so the piece belongs where people arrive — above a console in the entrance hall, over a doorway, or on the wall a majlis faces. Its wide, low proportion sits better above a sofa or a sideboard than in a tall narrow space. Gloss piano black reads as a clean drawn line against a pale wall. Mirror gold warms under lamplight and catches the room around it. Mirror chrome silver stays cooler and holds its own against grey, stone and modern joinery.
