Bismillah in Eastern Kufic — Acrylic Islamic Wall Art

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم — In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful — set out here as a single panoramic band in Eastern Kufic. The style is unmistakable: the alif and lam rise as tall narrow shafts finished with arrowhead tips, while the bowls of the seen, the ha and the nun sweep below the baseline in long interlocking curves. The four words read right to left across the full width of the panel, and the whole thing is cut as one continuous piece, so every letter stays joined to its neighbour and there is nothing to align on the wall.

At 60 to 120 cm wide this is a horizontal piece, and it suits the walls that are already horizontal: above a majlis sofa, over a console in the entrance hall, along a dining wall, or above a headboard. It stands about 54 cm tall at the largest width and scales down in proportion. Gloss piano black reads as a clean silhouette against pale plaster. Mirror gold warms under lamplight and picks up the colours of the room around it. Mirror chrome silver is the coolest of the three and holds its own against grey, concrete and darker paint.

  • Material: 3mm cast acrylic, cut on the CO2 laser in our own Dubai workshop.

  • Sizes: stated by width — 60, 80, 100 and 120 cm; height scales in proportion, to about 54 cm at the widest.
  • Mounting: float-mounted — it sits off the wall rather than flat against it.

  • Gifting: a steady choice for a new home, a wedding or a move — the Basmala is the line most households want near the door.
