Allah in Square Kufic — Acrylic Islamic Wall Art
A tall column of square Kufic — kufi murabba', the style in which every curve of the Arabic letter is squared off onto a grid. Six uprights run the full drop of the panel, crossing one another in a shallow interlace and closing at each end in a pointed finial. At the centre, where those uprights meet their baseline, the name Allah is drawn in the same angular hand: three equal strokes on a common bar, with the closed ha and its small square eye at the left. Left and right halves mirror each other exactly, so the whole column balances on its own axis.
The proportions are made for a wall most art ignores — the strip beside a doorway, the pier between two windows, the end of a hallway where anything wider would crowd. A pair hung facing each other will frame an entrance. In gloss piano black the interlace reads as a clean silhouette and the shadow behind it does the rest. Mirror gold picks up lamplight and carries it down the long strokes, warming as the evening does. Mirror chrome silver stays cooler and harder-edged, taking its colour from whatever is in the room.
The lettering is cut exactly as it appears in the images; please look at them closely before choosing.
- Material: 3mm cast acrylic, cut on the CO2 laser in our own Dubai workshop.
- Finishes: gloss piano black, mirror gold, or mirror chrome silver.
- Sizes: stated by width — 40cm, 60cm or 80cm; height scales in proportion, and this column stands roughly three and a half times its stated width, so check the drop you have before choosing.
- Mounting: float-mounted — it sits off the wall rather than flat against it.
- Made in the UAE: drawn, cut and finished in our Dubai workshop.
- Gifting: a steady, unfussy piece for a new home or a prayer corner, and it posts flat.
Every piece is cut to order in our Dubai workshop: allow 1–3 working days before dispatch, then 1–2 days in transit anywhere in the UAE. Delivery from AED 30 — cash on delivery is available. Standard pieces can be returned within 7 days, unused and in their original packing (return shipping is paid by the customer); personalised pieces are made for you and are not returnable unless faulty.
