That proportion suits a long wall: above a console or a sideboard, along a majlis seating run, over a stair landing, or down a corridor where a single square piece would look stranded. Gloss piano black reads as drawn ink on a pale wall and keeps the fine outer ring legible. Mirror gold warms under lamplight and lifts the calligraphy off a darker wall.
